April 2015 has been designated as Child Abuse Prevention Month, and it is most certainly a noble cause and designation. Although everyday should be focused on child abuse prevention!
A horrific stat provided by the ChildWelfare.gov site include:
in the Federal Fiscal Year of 2013, 52 States reported 678,932 victims of child abuse or neglect
That is an exceptionally high number, and each one of us needs to be aware of these facts and figures in order to understand the true implications of child abuse and neglect.
